OK I don’t normally bang on about dance music on my blog but I have to tell you about this album as its the best dance live recording I have heard in years – maybe ever.

If you are partial to a bit of the half robot, half human duo doing their stuff, then you are going to love this work of art as it’s a real crowd pleaser.

The duo have managed to record a live album which fuses electronic funky baselines, loops and samples with some of their biggest and boldest tracks. This is the same set they played out at all the gigs they did in the summer of 2007. If you think of the lyrics of ‘Around the World’ and ‘Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger’ bleating out over the top of a pumping uplifting house track then you are almost there.

In fact, there were even a couple of times when I was listening to this that I actually got goose pimples from the crowd reaction and the sheer skill ‘the Punk’ have put into this truly stellar DJ set.

Here is a live track from the album – check it out.

I  think this album is going to go down in history as one of the greatest dance recordings of 2007 mark my words.

Daft Punk we salute you….
